On Monday 28th. of July 2003 a ceremony and blessing was held at Mexborough Cemetery for the new headstone of James William “Iron” Hague, British Heavyweight Champion from 1909 to 1911

on the 8th. of December 2005, we visit Graham Schofield’s farm close to the entrance to Pasture’s Road at Mexborough. An assembly of well known local boxers, past and present are gathered outside, around the large Mexborough Athletic Amateur Boxing Club, “Hall of Fame Board”. As well as me making a record of the event, flash bulbs flash from the camera’s of the press. I continue recording inside the farmhouse with Giles Brearley doing the honours of interviewing some of the past and present boxers. A notable ex boxer in Ken Wyatt (senior) is interviewed, who sadly passed away in 2010.
